Eng. Ahmed Qasid, Development Manager and one of Namasoft’s founders, took the opportunity of being at Kenan Holding’s premises in Alexandria to interview Mr. Wael Fouad, CFO of the Kenan Holding Group, to find out how far Nama ERP has improved the way Kenan works.

Mr. Wael, how are you? We have been visiting Kenan in Alexandria and would like to talk to you about your experience with Nama ERP.
Mr. Wael: First of all, welcome to Alexandria. We are the Engineering Group company, and our brand is Shild, one of the companies of the Kenan Holding Group, a Saudi company with investments in both Egypt and Saudi Arabia. I am the group’s CFO.
I have worked on a great many systems, without naming names. When I joined the company, I found that the system in use was Namasoft’s, but it was not fully operational. Some of its parts were not working.
I took up the challenge, we identified every problem it had, it was brought into operation within six months, and the system was tuned to fit the way we work.
What I want to say about Nama ERP is that I have worked with many systems, including international ones. Nama ERP is excellent, and it has some functions I have not seen in any other system.
First - cost recalculation: cost is recalculated at actual value and not only at standard value.
Second - the permissions system in Nama, where permissions can be tailored to each user’s authority. This is not available in many other systems.
Third - the outstanding technical support. One of the features I liked most in Nama is the customer service system (CRM), where a support ticket can be opened in an organised and comprehensive way, and reopened if the problem recurs.
I consider Nama ERP one of the leading systems in Egypt and outside Egypt.
There are many features of Nama ERP I have not yet used. For example, I learned that the system can be configured to send a report automatically at a set time. I have not often seen this feature in other systems.
The system is easy to work with; if there is a problem in the system, it can be solved and remedied. Also the output: in many systems the Excel output is broken, whereas in Nama, Excel files are exported and imported very well.
Also importing transactions, so I do not have to re-enter documents covering several previous years manually from scratch; they can be imported in a simple way and in a short time through Nama ERP.
There are so many features that I probably cannot list them all.
